Task-based Language Teaching Textbook Adaptation

For the final project for the TCSOL Certificate Program, my group and I adapted a unit from a regular Chinese textbook into a TBLT lesson plan. Using tasks in the classroom to engage students to learn is the best way for them to test their knowledge of the material and integrate new material into their developing second language system. It is often a myth that beginner level students are not capable of completing tasks in a foreign language, but as I demonstrate here, it is possible to develop tasks suited to their needs which they are capable of doing. Below is the text we adapted and my group's lesson plan for Unit 1.
