GET English on Peace Boat

GET (Global English/Español Training) is a language training program through which I volunteered on the Peace Boat. They offer a variety of services from open English lessons to the general population on the ship, to private lessons, group classes, and TOEIC classes, all of which I taught.
The general philosophy of GET is similar to my own: give students practical lessons for English they will use and teach them what THEY want to learn. At the beginning of every term, GET teachers would consult with their students and build a fully original curriculum specialized to their needs.

Though it was challenging to create lessons and worksheets for each class, it was extremely rewarding to see the students grow!
On the 95th Voyage, we had 9 English teacher, 1 Spanish teacher, and roughly 140 students between all of us!
