Curriculum Design

During a Curriculum Design workshop at Teachers College, Eri Imahori and I designed a potential Japanese course for Japanese beginners using the textbook Genki. Considering the level, objectives, and background of the students, we created what a website and potential course syllabus  using authentic materials to supplement the textbook would look like. This course and design practice heavily influences my own work when I plan out an appropriate pace and intensity for a new course based on the needs of the institution AND the students.
